(Note: I have a plea for help at the bottom of this post. For anyone who knows anything about Wordpress, and is planning on skimming this post, please, please, please, read the bottom paragraph. I am not above begging. Please.)
I am happy to report that the wedding went off without a hitch, and that the first 20 days of marriage have gone marvelously.
Yay for us!
I've been reluctant to start posting, because I feel like I should write a big-long-catch-up post with all sort of pictures and fun stories and details about the day, and the knitting and spinning I've done since, and well... that's a bit more than I can handle right now. I'm still relishing the last bits of newlywed-dom, and I've been dipping my toes in the social waters slowly, to keep a rein on The Schedule.
For now, here's one of the only pictures I have of the day yet:
We were blessed with gorgeous weather and amazingly enough, with only a few exceptions here and there, it was a very calm, relaxed and joyful day. Also, Eric and I were so happy to finally have our wedding day upon us, we were pretty much oblivious to everything except enjoying each other and the day. For me everything is a swirl of laughter and family and best friends. Most people say their wedding day flies by, ours was more suspended in a strange limbo, like it was outside of time. Just one long, happy, caught-in-the-moment sort of day.
After hosting Eric's sister and her boyfriend for a few days in Boston, we were able to spend a few days honeymooning in NH and it was GLORIOUS because it was the first time in over a year that we had more than a day all to ourselves with nothing to do. We golfed, we napped, we hiked, we napped, we watched movies, we napped and lounged out on the deck and napped.
I want to send my heartfelt thanks to everyone for their comments and wishes and apologize for not getting back to everyone individually - I want you to know that I appreciated all your kind words and you all know how wonderful it is to read the chorus of support from all these fabulous ladies who you respect and admire (and miss knitting with, also, maybe some spinning? Is it time to start planning a knitting party for the fall yet?)
And so now I'm back. My blog name is obsolete, and I'm working on launching a complete overhaul of the site, using wordpress and other fancy internet technology.
(This is where the begging begins.)
Any wordpress experts out there? I downloaded and set up wordpress about 3 months ago, and haven't logged on since, and it seems my password has expired - I would be forever grateful to anyone who could offer any help or direction on this. Thank you!!
